Availability bias is the treatment of ease of recall as evidence of frequency, probability, or importance. What comes to mind first is counted as what happens most; memory is consulted as if it were a census.
Taxonomy - Salience-to-probability bias, evidential sampling error. The error is confusing retrievability with representative evidence.
